Applications will be accepted from any first year or transfer undergraduate student of Rutgers College. Applications can be downloaded or they can be picked up at the following locations: Rutgers Student Center Room 449, Busch Campus Center Room 172, or the Student Activities Center Lower Level.

Applications must be filled out completely with corresponding materials and emailed to rcprogs@rci.rutgers.edu or dropped off to the Rutgers Student Center Room 449 by November 15, 2004 by 4:30pm. A maximum of 40 students will be selected.

All components of emerging leaders are mandatory for acceptance into the program. Below is an outline of dates and commitments that MUST be met.

	Completed Applications - Due Monday November 15th RSC Room 449. By 4:30pm
	Group Interview - Sunday November 21st RSC 4th floor rooms 2:30-5pm
	Orientation - December 10 RSC Graduate Student Lounge 4:30pm
	Overnight Retreat - January 14, 15 & 16th Offsite
	Students will participate in a leadership Retreat off campus focusing on the following: Personal goal setting, time and stress management, public speaking, communication and leadership styles, event planning, budget management, teambuilding and publicity basics.
	Leadership Learning Project January – April 2005
	The members of the Institute will plan, implement and evaluate a campus program with support and advisement from the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement and Programs. Past leadership projects were the Scarlet Inspiration Award (2003) and the Acts of Goodwill Week (2004).
	Students will meet every Friday from 1:10-2:30pm in the spring semester starting January 21, 2005
	Students will need a commitment of 2-3 hours outside the Friday meetings.
