Salutations from the Emerging Leaders Institute!
The Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) is a leadership training and development program for first-year students at Rutgers College. This spring, we are honoring involvement within the Rutgers Community by creating the “Spirit of Involvement” Award. This award is designed to recognize outstanding members of clubs or organizations around the campus and emphasize the importance of getting involved!
ELI is asking your club/organization to select an outstanding member who has been especially dedicated to the betterment of this club to receive the “Spirit of Involvement” award at an honorary reception on April 6, 2005 BCC MPR 8pm.

Purpose
To recognize outstanding members of clubs or organizations around the campus and emphasize the importance of getting involved
Eligibility
- Student Organization
- Must be a registered student organization with Rutgers College Office of Student Leadership and Programming (OSLIP)
- Student
- Must be a full time, undergraduate student at Rutgers University
- Must be in good academic standing with the University (2.0 or higher GPA)
- Must be a member of this club or organization
Selection
- Student acts as a role model for others in the club
- Student inspires others through his or her dedication
- Student exhibits unconventional leadership (unconventional leadership can be defined as unusual accomplishments, overcoming social hardships, striving to generate change within the organization, or one not typically honored for his or her accomplishments.)
